Amber Brewer, M. Ed. has been in the education field since 2008. Amber began their career as a Tutor/ Study-Hall Monitor at East Carolina University. In 2010, they took on the role of Undergraduate Assistant at East Carolina University, where they designed and implemented their own ESL curriculum providing English as a Second Language classes to a group of Mexican immigrants in Deep Run, NC. Also in 2010, they were a Student Intern and Teacher Assistant at The Ron Clark Academy, where they graded papers, worked one-on-one with students who needed individualized attention and planned and taught lessons. In 2011, they were a K-5 Elementary Spanish Teacher at Franklin County Schools, where they designed and implemented a new Spanish program focusing on integration of core subject areas to reinforce essential critical thinking and problem solving skills. In 2013, they began their role at Rocky Mount Prep as K-12 Director of Curriculum and Talent Development, Elementary Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, and School Administrator Intern. In their role as Elementary Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, they coached teachers in instructional best practices based on principles of Teach Like a Champion, Get Better Faster, and in conjunction with NCEES by conducting walkthroughs, holding one-on-one meetings, and modeling in real time. In 2020, they took on the role of Instructional Coach at EdConnective. Currently, they are a Consultant at English Learners Success Forum and a Teacher Advisor at Teach.org.

Amber Brewer, M. Ed. has a diverse educational background. Amber obtained a Bachelor of Science in Theirpanic Studies Education from East Carolina University in 2011. Amber then went on to earn a Master of Education from Barton College in 2013. In 2017, they obtained a Google Certification Level 1 from Google. In 2012, they obtained a K-5 M License Elementary Education from NCDPI and a K-12 Teaching Licensure Spanish from NCDPI in 2011. Most recently, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership Licensure Add-On from Gardner-Webb University in 2020. Amber also holds a Public School Administration - Principal certification from NC DPI.
