Kelli Herrick has over 10 years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as the Director of Talent for Venture For America, where they split their time between internal hiring and Fellowship selection. Her accomplishments include decreasing the average time to hire from 59 to 39 days, creating policies and structures for the hiring team, developing hiring competencies, and leading selection process improvement. Kelli also began working as an Instructional Coach for EdConnective.
From 2012 to 2021, they worked at DSST Public Schools as an Independent Consultant, School Director, Senior Manager of Selection, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and 8th Grade Science Teacher and Department Chair. At College View High School, they coached and developed a portfolio of 15 teachers and teacher leaders, and led professional development and adult learning for a team of 40.
From 2013 to 2021, they worked at Teach For America as a Teacher Leadership Coach, where they led and coached a group of 7 new corps members, and was rated exemplary by their direct manager. Kelli also worked as a Partnerships Associate and Transition Team Coordinator.
In 2010, they worked as a Chemistry Teacher at Craigmont High School and as a Tour Guide, Telecounselor, and Student Ambassador at Case Western Reserve University.
Kelli Herrick is currently pursuing a Masters in Positive Organizational Development and Change from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, with an expected completion date of 2024. Kelli obtained their B.A. with honors from Case Western Reserve University in Medical Anthropology, Theatre, and Spanish Minor. Herrick also holds certifications from Asana, Relay Graduate School of Education, and Salesforce. Kelli was named an Asana Ambassador in November 2021, was awarded the National Principal Academy Fellowship with honors in May 2017, and earned their Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) certification in June 2022.
