Edmund Muehlner

Principal Engineer - Offshore Floating Wind at EDF Renewables

Edmund Muehlner has a strong background in the renewable energy industry, with experience in offshore floating wind and naval architecture. Edmund is currently working as a Principal Engineer - Offshore Floating Wind at EDF Renewables North America since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Bechtel Energy as a Principal Naval Architect from August 2015 to January 2023. Edmund also has experience at FloaTEC, LLC, where they served as Director - Technology Development from March 2012 to March 2015, and as Lead Engineer from December 2008 to February 2012. Edmund started their career at Horton Deepwater Development Systems Inc. as a Principal in January 2002 and worked there until December 2008.

Edmund Muehlner holds a PhD and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Wien. Edmund is also certified as a Professional Engineer by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, obtained in 2012.
