Hamed Baatout

Hamed Baatout, CFA, ERP has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry. Hamed currently holds the role of VP - Divestiture & Portfolio Strategy at EDF Renewables North America, where they have been since 2011. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director - Project Finance at the same company. In 2022, they also became a Finance Committee member at Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind LLC. Before joining EDF Renewables North America, they worked as Structured Finance at ACCIONA, Structuring and Structured Finance at Avangrid Renewables, and Investment Analysis at Capybara Ventures LLC. Hamed started their career in 1998 at CGI as a Software Developer before transitioning to the renewable energy industry.

Hamed Baatout, CFA, ERP holds an Engineer degree in Thermal Engineering from CentraleSupélec, which they obtained between 1994 and 1997. Hamed also earned their MBA in Finance from Portland State University from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Baatout attended Lycée du Parc, where they focused on Mathematics and Physics from 1991 to 1994. Hamed has obtained several certifications in blockchain-related subjects from Coursera and IBM. Baatout is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds the Energy Risk Professional (ERP®) designation.
