Jamie Chittenden

Jamie Chittenden has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to the present. Their most recent roles include being the Founding CTO at Co-Own UAE and the Advisory CTO at Edfundo, both starting in 2023.

In 2022, Jamie served as the CTO at Zand, where they were responsible for launching corporate and retail offerings, reviewing the technology stack, and defining the technology roadmap. They also briefly acted as the CEO and held the position of Head of Technical Architecture.

Prior to that, Jamie worked at Emirates NBD as the Lead Data Architect, overseeing a Kafka cluster and Flink clusters for data processing. They also worked at the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment as a Solution Architect and at Westpac as a Senior Enterprise Architect, leading the design and implementation of a fast data platform using open-source technologies.

Before that, Jamie held various roles at Deloitte New Zealand, Chorus (Telecom NZ), Telecom New Zealand, and the Department of Conservation, where their responsibilities included data architecture, business intelligence analysis, and process improvement.

Jamie Chittenden began their education at Muritai School. They then attended Hutt Valley High School from 1985 to 1989. Jamie went on to study at Victoria University of Wellington from 1999 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Finance and Economics. They later pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016 and 2017, specializing in Fintech: Future Commerce. Most recently, Jamie attended The Wharton School from 2023 to 2033, completing a program in Executive Presence and Influence.
