Rohan Katepallewar

Rohan Katepallewar has had a diverse range of work experiences. Rohan currently holds the position of Senior Manager and Project Director at Educational Initiatives, a role they started in May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Gram Vaani from November 2019 to July 2021, where they held the positions of Director - Partnerships & Business Development and Manager - Programs & Business Development. At Gram Vaani, they were involved in various activities such as business intelligence and prospecting, opportunity management, business process improvements, accounts management, program management, and product development.

Before joining Gram Vaani, Rohan worked at Valid International Limited as a Programmes Manager from December 2018 to November 2019. Their responsibilities included business development, relationship building and engagement, project management, budget management, and compliance with reporting requirements.

Prior to their time at Valid International Limited, Rohan served as the State Project Manager at State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Chhattisgarh, from November 2016 to August 2017. In this role, they led a project focused on developing value chains for agricultural commodities and spearheaded policy formulation for creating an institutionalized market platform.

Rohan's work experience also includes being a Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellow (PMRDF) for the Government of India from May 2014 to April 2017. In this role, they were involved in various initiatives such as market linkages for micro millets, agro-entrepreneurship models, and monitoring and evaluation of Clean India Mission.

Rohan began their career as a System Engineer at Emerson Process Management in 2008.

Rohan Katepallewar holds a Master's degree in Globalisation, Business and Development from the Institute of Development Studies, which they obtained in 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master's in Development Practice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 2016 and their Master's in Development from Azim Premji University in 2014. In 2008, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Instrumentation from Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Human Research, Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of research, Inferential Statistics, and Social Psychology from various institutions.
