Alex Hu is the founder and executive director of the Education For All Foundation. Alex has also been a CEO, co-founder, and TEDx speaker.
Alex's entrepreneurial journey began when they were just out of college. Alex started XiaoK.ai, a artificial intelligence software company. The company was later acquired by a larger corporation.
Looking for their next challenge, Alex became a fellow at Shad Canada, where they developed their leadership skills. Alex then went on to become a TEDx speaker and gave a talk on the importance of education.
In 2020, Alex founded Lighthouse Learning Global, an online education platform. The company quickly grew and was acquired by a larger education company in 2021.
Most recently, Alex has been working on WePlate, a diet app that makes achieving your diet goals as easy as following a GPS. WePlate combines machine learning and nutritional science to tailor students' nutritional needs to available food in college cafeterias.

Alex Hu attended Appleby College for their Ontario Secondary School Diploma, and then went on to study Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Babson College, where they earned their Bachelor of Science.
