Arun Prasad

Arun Prasad has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Arun is currently working at eGain Corporation as the Senior Director of PS - Knowledge + AI, a role they have held since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Customer Success at eGain Corporation from April 2019 to September 2021.

Before joining eGain Corporation, Arun worked at Cognizant starting in May 2014. Arun held the position of Engagement Partner, Communications Practice, where they were responsible for complex program management related to Video-on-Demand and Connected Home/IoT at a major communications client. Arun ensured the successful delivery of key programs across all verticals and maintained high customer satisfaction and financial performance. Arun's tenure at Cognizant ended in March 2019.

From June 2007 to April 2014, Arun worked at itaas, a Cognizant Company, as the VP of Program Management and Operations. In this role, they managed software development and quality assurance programs for major cable providers. Arun also played a vital role in setting up offshore development centers in India for itaas. Arun successfully built a strong and talented team of engineers during their time at itaas.

Prior to their time at Cognizant, Arun worked at VSoft Corporation from January 2000 to June 2007. Arun held the position of VP, Product & Delivery Services, where they managed software development teams responsible for various check-processing software products. Arun's expertise in artificial intelligence was utilized in developing real-time detection systems for mismatched amounts in financial transactions.

Arun's earliest work experience was at RDCIS, SAIL, starting in September 1985 until December 1999. Arun held the position of Principal Research Manager and focused on mathematical modeling, process optimization, and computational analysis related to steel production.

Arun Prasad obtained their Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, from the years 1981 to 1985. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Manufacturing Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, during the period of 1997 to 1999.
