Ian Shumsky has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ian began their career as a Programmer at Meiko from August 1990 to September 1991. Ian then joined Data Sciences, later acquired by IBM, where they worked as a Senior Programmer for six years. During this time, they played a crucial role in the development and implementation of an Airport Information System for the new Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.
In 1998, Ian joined Sybase as a Technical Consultant and worked on various projects, including the Shell 'Redline' data exchange project and the BetSwap online betting brokerage proof of concept, which secured a major development engagement for Sybase.
Ian continued their career at Portal, a provider of OSS internet and telecoms billing software, where they served in various roles, including Technical Consultant, Trainer, Technical Account Manager, Technical Lead, Technical Architect, and finally, Project Manager. Their key accomplishments included the full reimplementation of Thus's billing platform and enhancements to Telenor's invoicing solution.
In 2005, Ian joined Comptel Corporation (Axiom Systems Ltd) as a Project Manager. During their three-year tenure, they successfully delivered complex projects to clients such as T-Com and Bulldog. Additionally, they played a role in improving team effort allocation across projects.
Ian's next career move was to Exony, a provider of contract center analytics reporting software, where they worked as a Senior Project Manager. Ian later took on a similar role at eGain Corporation after their takeover of Exony in 2014. Ian's responsibilities included delivering complex solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction on multiple high-profile accounts. Their expertise extended to various aspects, such as product upgrades and multi-site, multi-phase custom cloud deployments.
Throughout their professional journey, Ian has exhibited a focus on project success and customer satisfaction, successfully delivering solutions in challenging situations. Ian most recently served as a Senior Customer Success Manager at eGain Corporation until October 2021.
Ian Shumsky pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Sheffield Hallam University, which they successfully completed from 1987 to 1991.
