Georg Schirrmacher

Georg Schirrmacher is currently the Director of EIT Food Central. Prior to this, they spent 6 years with Clariant in various positions. Most recently, they were the Head of Science Network Management where they were responsible for the scientific network of Clariant, coordination of technology related cooperation and all topics related to public funding.

Before joining Clariant, Georg was with Süd-Chemie AG as a Project Manager. In this role, they were responsible for project management, technology scouting and technology transfer, implementation of project management tools, monitoring of strategic project portfolio and economics calculation.

Georg's career started at Technische Universität München where they spent 2 years as a Project Manager in Industry Cooperations.

Georg Schirrmacher's educational career includes earning a Dr. rer. nat. from the Technical University of Munich.
