Lara Lopez is a Strategy Assistant at EIT Urban Mobility since September 2022 and a Doctoral Student at the Rachel Carson Center since April 2022. Previously, Lara worked as a Research and Innovation Consultant at Ideas for Change, focusing on smart city upgrades and post-COVID urban design for the redevelopment of Barcelona Sants train station. Notable experiences also include roles at The World Bank as a Delegate for the Resilient Recovery for People and Planet and at the Greater Sydney Commission as an intern in Communications and Engagement. Lara has held project development positions with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and the Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development, leading initiatives on urban green guidelines and master planning. An accomplished academic, Lara is pursuing a PhD in Anthropogeography at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and holds multiple advanced degrees in urban planning and management from prestigious institutions.
