Head Of Data

Engineering · Tel-Aviv, Israel

Job description

Eko is an innovative e-commerce startup dedicated to helping brands create and optimize interactive product videos. With two years of refining our technology alongside clients including Walmart, Lego and Mattel, Eko has earned the trust of customers by delivering exceptional product visuals that enhance the e-commerce journey and drive sales.

As we embark on our next phase of expansion, we seek visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, "figure-it-out-as-we-go" environments and are eager to grow with us. As you know, timing is everything. This is your chance to join Eko at a pivotal moment and act as our first Head of data. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our success and lead our team to new heights. This role is ideal for those ready to take their leadership and experience to the next strategic level, as we are looking for someone who will help us shape our data methodology, including data collection, infrastructure, business intelligence, and product insights.

As the Head of Data at Eko, you will build and lead our data team. You will work closely with management to develop insightful reports that showcase Eko's value proposition to our clients. This role will drive data-driven decision-making across the organization and will involve mentoring a team of analysts to deliver actionable insights that drive business growth. Does that sound like you?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build our data strategy and team from the ground up, including data infrastructure, tools, and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with product and R&D teams to ensure the implementation of our data roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and CEO to develop KPIs and comprehensive reports that demonstrate Eko's value proposition to our clients.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making across the organization by providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a business/data analyst, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Big Advantage: previous experience with the e-commerce industry.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling data functions in fast-growing organizations.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and driving measurable business impact through data-driven insights.
  • Experience with common data languages (e.g. Python, Scala), SQL, and data warehouses (e.g. Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).

At Eko, we're hiring people, not just skills. If you have some of the qualities we're looking for but not all, and still feel you're a great fit, we encourage you to apply.
