Ines Ruiz-Huston has extensive experience in higher education, specializing in multicultural affairs and student success programs. From being the Director of the Institute of Hispanic/Latino Cultures at the University of Florida to their current role as Vice President of Special Programs and Operations at El Concilio, Ines has dedicated their career to advocating for Hispanic/Latino students and fostering their success. Additionally, Ines has a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of the Pacific.

El Concilio is an agency committed to uplift and advocate for California's diverse, marginalized communities in a whole-person approach so they may reach their full potential and live a life of self-determination In continual operation since 1968 years, El Concilio, is a non-profit 501(3)(c), multi-service, community-based agency offering bilingual, diverse, progressive educational programs to at-risk youths, adults, and their families; and is the largest Hispanic-led agency in the Central Valley. Governed by a consistent mission and overriding objectives, the agency is dedicated to empowering diverse communities in California's Central Valley and provides outreach and services to over 75,000 individuals and families annually. Throughout El Concilio's 53-year history, our agency has met adversity head-on. Whether it was taking the lead in DACA enrollments, providing full-scope Medi-Cal health access for undocumented children, or creating economic relief programs for families and businesses, El Concilio has been on the front lines of the defining moments of the day.
