Dimity Palmer-Smith completed their education in a chronological manner. Dimity first attended Tulane University from 2002 to 2006, earning a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. In 2004, they studied abroad at Charles University, focusing on Political Science. In 2005, they were a visiting student at the University of Pennsylvania during Hurricane Katrina.
Later, they pursued a Master's degree at Pace University from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Early Childhood Education and Teaching. In 2012 and 2013, they attended Bank Street College of Education and obtained an M.S.Ed through the Progressive Leadership Program, previously known as the Principals Institute.
