Jonathan Snyder

Jonathan Snyder is a seasoned research leader with extensive experience in the fields of veterinary biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, and virology. Currently serving as Senior Director - Discovery and Mechanistic Biology at Elanco since June 2019, Jonathan leads a team focused on antibody discovery and optimization. Prior roles at Eli Lilly and Company included Principal Research Scientist & Group Leader for Vaccine & Biopharma Discovery and Sr. Research Scientist & Group Leader for Virology Research, where Jonathan managed teams dedicated to developing novel vaccine candidates and viral vaccines. Jonathan's early career includes contributions to cell culture models at Hoffman La Roche & The Mayo Clinic and the development of immunoassays at Abbott Laboratories. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from Purdue University, where a focus was placed on the assembly pathways of alphaviruses.
