Denise Stahl

Denise Stahl has a strong background in palliative care, with extensive experience in leadership positions. Denise is currently serving as the Vice President of Palliative Care at Elara Caring, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of SVP Clinician Operations at Sidekick Health from 2022 to 2023. From 2021 to 2022, Denise was the Vice President of Community Based Palliative Care at AccentCare, Inc. Denise also worked as a Senior Clinical Education Partner at CareMore Health from 2020 to 2021. Denise has held several leadership positions at various organizations, including Regional Vice President at Aspire Health Inc. from 2018 to 2020, Vice President of Enterprise Clinical Performance Team and Chief Clinical Officer at Optum from 2015 to 2018, and Executive Director of the Palliative and Supportive Institute at UPMC from 2011 to 2015. Denise began their career as a Palliative Care Consultant at UPMC in 2001 and held that position until 2009, during which they also served as the VISN 4 Palliative Care Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2009 to 2011.

Denise Stahl earned a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Carlow University in 1989 and a Master's degree in Oncology CNS from the University of Pittsburgh in 1994. Denise also holds additional certifications as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from the University of Pittsburgh and as a Registered Nurse from Carlow University.
