Marcela Ayala

Marcela Ayala has over 20 years of experience in the field of control and instrumentation engineering. Marcela has held various roles in different companies, including Electric Hydrogen, Worley, Mangan Inc., Worley Parsons, Control Engineering Inc., Itansuca Proyectos de Ingenieria, Procesos y Diseños Energeticos, Otepi Consultores, and SCO Ingenieria.

Marcela'smost recent role was as a Senior Controls Engineer at Electric Hydrogen, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Worley as a Principal I&C Engineer from January 2022 to November 2022. In this role, they served as the I&C Program Lead for Chevron Richmond Client, overseeing projects related to steam plant and safety instrumented systems.

From 2017 to 2021, Marcela worked at Mangan Inc. as an Engineering Specialist III, focusing on control engineering projects such as plant wide backbone upgrade and DCS life cycle upgrade. Before that, they were a Principal I&C Engineer at Worley Parsons from 2011 to 2017, where they developed specifications and control system designs for chemical processes and petrochemical plants.

Marcela also has experience working at Control Engineering Inc., Itansuca Proyectos de Ingenieria, Procesos y Diseños Energeticos, Otepi Consultores, and SCO Ingenieria, where they worked on various instrumentation and control engineering projects.

Marcela Ayala attended Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 1994 to 2001, where they obtained a Bsc in Electronic Engineering. In addition to their degree, they also obtained the ISA/IEC 61511 SIS Fundamentals certification from the International Society of Automation (ISA) in June 2023.
