Nicola M.

Nicola M. has a strong background in IT infrastructure and operations, with experience spanning over two decades. They began their career in 1999 as a System Engineer at Consyst I.T. Srl, where they gained expertise in tape library systems and data protection solutions. They later worked as a System Engineer at Terasystem Spa, specializing in storage-related and backup/restore subjects.

In 2002, Nicola joined Primeur Srl as a Senior Consultant, focusing on planning and deployment of IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center and the assessment and evolution of data protection environments based on IBM Tivoli Storage Manager. They also worked as a consultant for a worldwide service provider, overseeing the data protection environment for hundreds of clients.

In 2008, Nicola joined Electrolux as a System Engineer, interfacing with different teams and vendors, and leading disaster recovery planning and execution. They later became the Data Center Storage Team Leader, responsible for the international team of Storage System Engineers.

Most recently, Nicola has been with Electrolux Professional since 2019, initially as the Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations before being promoted to Director Group IT Infrastructure & Operations in July 2022. In this role, they are accountable for the enterprise-wide IT operations budget, strategic planning and delivery, international cloud data center, digital workplace, and operational cyber security.

Throughout their career, Nicola has demonstrated a strong track record in cost control, optimization, and service delivery management. They possess a wide range of technical skills, including working with various storage technologies, disaster recovery planning, and data protection solutions.

Nicola M. completed their education from 1991 to 1998 at the Università degli Studi di Padova, earning an Engineer's degree (MEng level) in Electronics. They also obtained additional certifications, including "Strategic Innovation in the Digital Era Making Strategic Decisions Under Uncertainty Using Mental Frameworks and Data" from SDA Bocconi School of Management in 2023 and "Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I)" from Scrum.org in 2021.
