The Position

To achieve its ambitions, ElectroRoute Japan is currently recruiting for a HR Generalist. We are looking for someone who can jump in and be part of a fast-paced team. This person would coordinate the entire employees lifecycle.

 The Role

The role of HR Generalist will include:

Key responsibilities

  • Be the direct contact person for our employees and assist them in HR related administrations for all stages of the employment lifecycle.

  • Provide On-Off boarding support including support of new hires throughout the onboarding process, from contract generation to ensuring a smooth transition when they join the organization.

  • Work closely with our payroll vendor/labor and social security attorney to ensure proper administration of benefits such as Healthcare and pension

  • Be engaged in HR daily operations such as attendance management, dealing with queries from employees, support of secondees and preparation of HR related documents and reports.

Collaboration in HR team

  • Support HR manager to ensure ElectroRoute Japan maintains full compliance with all Japanese employment law obligations such that company maintains a “zero incident” status by creating and reviewing HR related policies and handling daily HR operations with adhering to the related laws.

  • Work in team to actively participate in recruitment e.g., management of recruitment agents and direct recruitment, taking care of interviews and updating HR data base.

  • Support HR team with planning and Implementation of training programs. Coordinate training programs for compliance, employees’ KPI achievement support plan and career development plan.

  • Work in team to redesign benefit programs e.g., health care and introduction of new paid holidays etc. and to review current compensation system and implement appealing reward system.

  • Support and sustain the company

  • Improve employee engagement by actively engaging in employee- events and team building

  • Assist with preparation of monthly payroll/bonus with payroll vendor to ensure proper payroll in timely manner.

  • Collaborate with HR team in HQ in Ireland on various projects.

Role Requirements

The Successful Candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strongly prefer at least 3-4 years of progressive experience in HR in international organizations.
  • knowledge of labor-related law
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including strong written and oral communication skills both in JPN and ENG.
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative, using good judgement and discretion
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritize work in pursuit of deadlines
  • Flexible and eager to learn material in new fields and develop new work practices
  • To be flexible in their role and to be a team player
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to navigate leaders through a variety of organizational change
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

In addition, the following would be an advantage:

  • Experience in compensation decision/review for new hires, salary raise and bonus and revision of compensation system
  • Designing fair and attractive bonus programs/implementing appealing rewards
  • Experience in L&D area such as designing and implementing training programs and career development
  • Experience in support of expats
