The Position

To achieve its ambitions, ElectroRoute Japan is currently recruiting for a HR Generalist to join our Tokyo based team. We are looking for a creative and motivated candidate who will play a critical role in the acquisition of excellent talent into the company to support company growth. This position has opportunities to expand one’s career into the exciting renewable energy sector and within the field of HR by actively learning and developing skills in other HR fields beyond recruitment.

 The Role

The role of HR Generalist will include:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities across the company through direct collaboration with hiring teams.

  • Understand internal hiring needs based on business strategy, team objectives and HR needs. Develop the necessary recruitment strategies and implement them on all digital, social, and internal platforms to hire best talent.

  • Ensure that we have the right mix of recruitment channel and sources to be able to fulfill the recruitment needs in the most efficient way.

  • Plan and organize branding activities and initiatives through all relevant mediums according to company branding strategy.

  • Be an employer branding role model and motivate Hiring teams to be brand ambassadors.

  • Actively demonstrate the company Mission, Vision and Values to existing company talent pool and the society. Support and sustain the company culture.

  • Promote direct sourcing where necessary.

  • Establish strong relationships with candidates to ensure candidates understand the opportunity they’re exploring, as well as our culture.

  • Collaborate with recruitment agencies and partners.

  • Use market expertise, data, and business acumen to educate and influence hiring managers on how to identify and hire the best talent.

  • Manage On/Off-boarding.

  • Improve employee engagement by actively engaging in employee- events and team building

  • Expand HR experiences and skills for not only recruitment but also other HR areas.

  • Collaborate with other HR team members to develop and implement strategies that support the company goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with HR team in HQ in Ireland on various projects.

Role Requirements

  • More than 3 years of practical experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruiting.
  • Direct sourcing experience.
  • Proven ability to take initiative in work and be a self-starter.
  • Passionate about attracting the best talent to contribute to the growth of the company.
  • Informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent acquisition to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Highly motivated to learn about adjacent HR fields in which you currently have no experience and a willingness to be flexible in the role.
  • Business-level English skills and native-level Japanese skills.
  • Value teamwork with excellent interpersonal skills.

 In addition, the following would be an advantage:

  • LinkedIn recruiter skill.
  • Other HR experience than recruitment.
  • Experience in a global company.
