Mauro Fontana

Mauro Fontana has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mauro started their career as a Research Intern at the Comisión de Investigaciones Científicas de la Provincia de Buenos Aires in 2015. From 2013 to 2019, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and later as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata. In 2017, they became a PHD Student at CONICET Dialoga, where they conducted research on Fluid Dynamics and successfully completed a PhD thesis. At the University of Buenos Aires, Mauro worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2020 to 2022, and later as the Head Teaching Assistant from 2020 to 2022, where they developed problem sets, mentored other teaching assistants, and contributed to the development of pedagogical content. Most recently, in 2022, they held the role of an HPC Engineer at the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional in Argentina. In this role, they developed and maintained software and servers for time-critical weather tasks, including software development in Python and sending and accepting patches in worldwide known meteorological software. Currently, Mauro is working as a Biomedical Developer at ELEM Biotech since 2023.

Mauro Fontana's education history began in 2008 when they enrolled at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Mauro pursued a degree in Geophysics and completed their studies in 2017.
