Su Zhang

Su (Richard) Zhang is a Senior Staff Scientist at Element Biosciences, with experience in advanced nucleic acid chemistry and biochemistry. Prior roles include Senior Chemist at LaserGen/Agilent Technologies, where significant contributions were made in the design and synthesis of nucleotides, as well as process optimization for fluorescent nucleotide delivery. Zhang also served as a Scientist at LaserGen and a Research Fellow at Phoenix Children's Hospital, focusing on RNA epigenetic modifications in tumor cell lines. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University, where Zhang developed innovative methodologies for nucleic acid research, along with a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Zhejiang University.
