Mónica Martínez-Avilés

Mónica Martínez-Avilés, PhD, is a seasoned professional in quality management and technical services, currently serving as the Head of Quality for Europe Certification & Technical at Element Materials Technology since February 2024. Mónica's extensive experience includes roles as Training & Advisory Support Manager and Assessment Manager at UKAS, and Lead Assessor for both the Chemical & Biological and Metrology & Calibration Programs at International Accreditation New Zealand. Previous positions also encompass leadership in the Inorganic Department at Watercare Services Limited and postdoctoral research at NIWA. Mónica holds a PhD in Chemistry from Purdue University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, with a notable track record of publications and contributions to various research collaborations throughout academia.
