Samantha Black, PhD, has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2010, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, where they conducted laboratory assays and statistical analysis as part of various research projects. Samantha continued their work at the university as a Graduate Research Assistant from 2013 to 2018, focusing on nutritional and physiology research using animal models to find alternatives to antibiotics in food production.

In 2018, Samantha joined the National Postdoctoral Association as a Program Associate and worked there until 2019. Samantha'sresponsibilities involved coordinating programs and supporting postdoctoral professionals.

From 2019 to 2022, Samantha worked at Science and Medicine Group as the Editor in Chief of ScienceBoard.net, where they curated daily news in the life sciences, conducted interviews with industry experts, and produced articles and newsletters.

Currently, Samantha is the Head of Brand and Content at Elemental Machines, a position they started in 2022.
