David Burns

David Burns has extensive work experience in design and user experience management. David is currently the Head of Design at Elevate K-12. Before that, they were a Co-Founder at Headway Collective. David also worked at Grammarly as the Head of Enterprise Design and at Grubhub as the Design Director. Prior to that, they served as Adjunct Faculty at DePaul University and as the VP of Experience Design at Manifest. David also held leadership positions at Redbox Automated Retail, LLC and Digitas North America, where they led design and user experience initiatives. Additionally, David worked as a User Experience Manager at Humana and as a User Experience Design Consultant as an independent contractor.

David Burns has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. David also holds a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Social Impact Incubator from DePaul University - Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in 2022.
