Mary Maker

Co-founder at Elimisha Kakuma

Mary Maker is a Goodwill Ambassador and High Profile Supporter for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, promoting humanitarian work for refugees globally. Mary is currently the Co-Founder of Elimisha Kakuma, providing access to higher education for high school graduates in Kakuma Refugee Camp. Mary also has experience as a Resident Assistant at St. Olaf College and as a Student Intern at the Center for Leadership & Neighborhood Engagement. Additionally, Mary has worked as an S4D Coach for GIZ and as a Peer Counselor for AAR Japan. Mary volunteered and later became a School Secretary and Teacher at Windle Trust International. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Theater, Race and Ethnic Studies, and International Relations and Affairs from St. Olaf College.
