Jonathan (Jay) Wakenshaw

Jonathan (Jay) Wakenshaw has a diverse work experience in the aviation/aerospace industry. Jonathan (Jay) is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Elroy Air since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Advisor at Elroy Air from February 2018 to May 2021. In 2021, they also worked as an Aviation/Aerospace Strategic Operations Consultant.

Before joining Elroy Air, Wakenshaw was the Vice President Operations at Toray Advanced Composites from March 2018 to February 2021. Jonathan (Jay) held various positions at Ascent Aerospace from 2013 to 2017, including Chief Commercial Officer, President & COO of Ascent Integration & Automation Group, and Director of Strategic Operations.

In addition, they served as the President of Danco Machine, Inc. from May 2011 to February 2013. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer of Danco Machine Inc. from August 2008 to May 2011.

Wakenshaw started their career at GKN Aerospace in 2000 and held several positions, including Business Unit Director, Operations Director, ERP Project Manager, Continuous Improvement Leader, and Manufacturing Engineer. Before joining GKN Aerospace, they participated in the International Leadership Development Program at GKN plc from 1998 to 2000.

Jonathan (Jay) Wakenshaw has a diverse education history. Jonathan (Jay) began their educational journey at Loughborough University from 1994 to 1998, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering. Later on, they went on to attend The Wharton School from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
