Carlos R. Ilário da Silva

Carlos R. Ilário da Silva, Dr. Eng., currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Nidec Aerospace and holds a long-standing position at Embraer as the Head of Zero Emission and the Head of Electrification, driving innovation and strategic initiatives in electrification, hydrogen, and sustainable aviation fuels. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and extensive research experience, Carlos has led numerous projects in aerospace acoustics and propulsion systems across various organizations, including a visiting senior research associate at Stanford University and significant roles at Rolls-Royce and the University of Southampton. Carlos is also a guest professor at the University of São Paulo, where teaching focuses on aerodynamics and aeroacoustics.
