Laura Helming

Laura Helming is a highly experienced immunologist currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Tumor Immunology Research at EMD Serono, Inc. since September 2022. Prior to this role, Laura held several key positions at Merck Gruppe from January 2013 to September 2022, including Head of Myeloid Cell Research and various leadership roles in Immuno-Oncology. Earlier in Laura's career, positions were held at Technische Universität München as a Research Group Leader and at the University of Oxford as a Postdoctoral Scientist. Laura started academic research at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research as a Junior Researcher while pursuing a Ph.D. in Immunology at Technische Universität Braunschweig. Laura earned a Diplom (M.Sc.) in Biology from the Technical University of Munich with a focus on Genetics, Biochemistry, and Virology.
