Sean Timm

Sean Timm has over 19 years of professional experience in the software engineering industry. Sean began their career in 2002 as a Software Developer at ProClarity Corp., where they were the technical team lead for a new dashboard product. In 2006, they moved to Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer, where they were the technical lead for the web modernization of PerformancePoint's SharePoint integration. In 2011, they joined Scentsy, Inc. as a Senior Software Developer, where they were responsible for front-end development for a large e-commerce site and supportive internal tools, as well as the delivery of a new mobile application. In 2014, they accepted a role at Healthwise as a Software Development Lead, and was promoted to this role within 9 months as a Senior Developer. During their time here, they spearheaded the introduction of a new technology stack leveraging React and React Native to support delivery of new product lines. In 2017, they moved to Krazy Coupon Lady, LLC as the Head of Engineering, where they achieved a 250% lift in user engagement of the mobile app and boosted app ratings in Google Play Store and Apple App Store to 4.5 and 4.9, respectively. In 2021, they joined Solid State Operations as the Director of Engineering and was promoted to this role within 6 months as Engineering Lead. During their time here, they recovered a struggling project and delivered on-time by aligning the team around well-defined delivery milestones, working cross-organizationally to identify and breakdown the remaining work and create a shared definition of done. Sean also maintained 100% employee retention through the majority of an aggressive runway following a significant company-wide RIF by working with executive leadership regarding engineers' concerns and rallying the team around a shared vision. In 2023, they joined Emerald Cloud Lab as the Director of Engineering.
