Our client, a leading insurance provider, is looking for a commercial insurance account executive with sales strategy experience.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Support – Providing guidance and suggestions to producers in the areas of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of each new lead. This may include identifying the decision-maker hierarchy, what is causing coverage gap chaos, uncovering pain points, recognizing beneficial resources, pre-planning future meetings and demonstrations, informing industry and service resources, market selection, and broker of record positioning.

Engage in new business sales as needed. Build relationship and client interaction to negotiations on technical coverage and pricing issues with underwriters. Experienced with a variety of industry clients as needed.
New Opportunity assist– Acting as a point of contact for new and seasoned producers to analyze new business prior to, during, and after the first appointment. You will participate in preparing for initial meetings as needed by guiding the producer to internal industry and resource specialists, supporting the producer in researching potential decision-makers and company characteristics, and pre-identifying potential selling opportunities. You may be asked to join the producer during appointments.

Coverage and Gap Analysis – Assisting in policy analysis to identify weaknesses, coverage gaps, and pricing irregularities will assist our producers in developing the trust necessary to earn new clients.

Resource Coordination – Understanding of the internal resources available to our producers and awareness of services/specialists that are offered to our clients. You will assist in coordinating the participation of these resources and/or be available to “stand-in” to present these resources.

Carrier Negotiations – Responsible for preliminary and final negotiations of coverage and pricing for the producer opportunity. This will be completed in conjunction with the producer and will serve as a learning opportunity where each producer can develop their relationship-building skills with the underwriting community.

Market Navigation –Responsible for gathering and warehousing marketing information into all TEXAN Insurance systems by line of coverage, industry, and specialization in order to better direct producers
during the market selection process to ensure TEXAN Insurance has full technical and carrier advantage against our competition.

Generate new business opportunities through cross-selling
Assist with the coordination of day-to-day administrative activities among those servicing the client’s account
Perform other responsibilities and duties, as needed

Account Executive Requirements


• 10+ years’ experience within a commercial line’s broker/agency within a Sales Producer, Sales Executive and/or Account Executive position
• Active State Property & Casualty License
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent industry experience
• Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred
• High level understanding of property and casualty insurance needs that span across the responsibilities listed for this role
• Experience with an Agency Management System Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and strong keyboarding skills/data entry accuracy
• Strong relationship-building skills while interacting with new client prospects and internal teams
• Must have thorough understanding of insurance underwriting and coverages, including rating procedures
• Must be willing to travel as needed for sales presentations

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
