Our client, a leading insurance provider, is looking for an inside sales agent.

Summary

Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new prospects and recent clients to increase sales. Uses consultative sales techniques and strong product knowledge (including home, auto, life, flood, and umbrella) to identify client-specific needs, cross sell opportunities, and customized insurance solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Maintains proficiency in all personal lines of insurance, including home, auto, life, flood, and Umbrella insurance.

Works directly with prospects, which may include referrals from loan officers, builders, and realtors, to convert calls into sales.

Identifies prospective client’s needs, cross sells opportunities for additional lines of business.

Prepares and processes quotes, proposals, applications, endorsements, payments, inquiries, and outbound email/phone marketing campaigns.

Responds to client inquiries and requests for service relating to insurance products in a timely fashion.

Researches and resolves complex customer service issues and makes recommendations to place coverage.

Generates cross sales, closes inbound leads and asks for referrals to increase client base.

Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing clients by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.

Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective clients.

Enters new client data and other sales data for current clients into computer database.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of desk top computers, Sales CRM Contact Management systems; Internet software and Microsoft Office Excel and Word software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Property and Casual Insurance License required and Life and Health license preferred
