Director, Transactions at Emergent

Christopher Coman-Manu has a diverse work experience in various industries. Christopher is currently serving as the Director of Transactions at Emergent, a non-profit organization dedicated to tropical forest conservation. Christopher is responsible for coordinating the LEAF Coalition, a public-private initiative aimed at ending tropical deforestation. Prior to this, Christopher worked at Cellnex Telecom as the Corporate Development leader, where they led large M&A processes and participated in contract negotiation and antitrust filings. Christopher has also worked as a Consultant on climate change adaptation and as the Global Project Lead for Smart Cities at Convercities. Additionally, Christopher co-founded Kurrant, a strategy consulting firm specializing in Smart Cities and IoT. Christopher has held positions such as the Head of Product at KEECKER, an IoT and AI company, and as an M&A Associate and Risk Manager at CITELUM, focusing on Smart Cities. Christopher has also worked as a Financial Analyst at Voltalia and as an Investment Analyst at Mirova, both in the renewable energy sector. Christopher co-founded Feedbac SAS, a startup focused on education guidance and counseling. Overall, Christopher's experiences span various sectors and showcase their expertise in climate change, telecommunications, smart cities, and renewable energy.

Christopher Coman-Manu earned a Master's degree in Biodiversity, Ecology, and Evolution from Aix-Marseille University from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at Aix-Marseille University from 2017 to 2020.

Before pursuing their scientific studies, Christopher attended ESSEC Business School from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Management/Grande Ecole. Christopher also attended Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in 2011 for a short period of post-graduate studies in Administration and Finance.

Christopher's earlier education includes attending Marcelin Berthelot from 2006 to 2008, although the degree or field of study is unspecified. Christopher completed their Baccalauréat at Lycée Albert de Mun from 1999 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Christopher has obtained certifications in Permaculture Design from Roman Eisenkoelbl - Can Lliure, Spain in August 2019, and in Sustainable Soil Management through a MOOC from edX in August 2016.
