Paul Dworkis is the current Vice President for Administration and Finance at Emerson College. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Maryland from June 2013 to December 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the financial and related business activities of the University of Maryland at College Park. This included assisting the University in identifying institutional priorities and allocating resources through the budgeting process, through financial and capital planning, through administrative and academic reviews, through institutional self-examination and through strategic planning and initiatives. Paul also oversaw the Office of the Comptroller and the Bursar's office, which manages all accounting and financial records, reports, and analysis for the University. In addition, they were responsible for preparing data and analysis to support negotiating the Facilities and Administration rates with the federal government, and led the negotiations. Lastly, they oversaw the Department of Business Services, which is responsible for many campus services including Travel Services, Print, Photo and Design, Motor Transportation, Mailroom and Copy, Vending and Corporate Services, Records and Forms Management.
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Paul Dworkis transferred to the University of Maryland College Park to study business. Paul later completed a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York.
Their manager is William Gilligan, Interim President. They work with Margaret Ann Ings - VP for Government and Community Relations, Robert Sabal - Dean, School of the Arts, and Amy Ansell - Dean of Liberal Arts.
