Shawn Martin

Shawn Martin, Ph.D., is an accomplished leader in scholarly communication, copyright, and publishing, currently serving as the Head of Scholarly Communication, Copyright and Publishing at Dartmouth College since March 2019, where responsibilities include managing research outputs and launching knowledge management initiatives. Concurrently, Shawn serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, developing curricula for online classes in the School of Information Sciences. Past experiences include a Global Fellowship with MovingWorlds focused on sustainable economic practices, an IDEASc Fellowship at Indiana University Bloomington, and various librarian and professorial roles at prominent institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Michigan. Shawn holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from Indiana University Bloomington, complemented by degrees in History from William & Mary and The Ohio State University, and a Business Essentials certificate from The Wharton School.
