Jason Bonitsky has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an ALT - Assistant Language Teacher at the Fujiyoshida City Board of Education from August 2002 to August 2005. Jason then worked as a Programme Coordinator at CLAIR from August 2005 to September 2007, where they primarily focused on counseling, employee relations, and organizing training seminars for participants of the JET Program. Since 2007, Jason has been working at en world Japan K.K., where they have held various positions including Consultant, Business Manager, Manager of the HR Consulting Division, Senior Manager of the SCM, HR and Corporate Services Division, and Associate Director of the Professional Services, HR and Corporate Services Practice Lead. During their tenure at en world, Jason has been involved in business development, people management, and talent acquisition. Jason also played a key role as the Head of Business Development at enPower, a brand within en world focusing on Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) solutions from April 2019 to June 2020.

Jason Bonitsky attended Georgetown University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a degree in A.B. English Literature. During their time at Georgetown, they studied various subjects including Literature, Creative Writing, Spanish (minor), Physics, Theology, Linguistics, and Japanese. In 2000, Jason briefly attended the University of Auckland to further their studies in Literature. Prior to their university education, Jason completed their high school education at Glastonbury High School from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, in 2004, they obtained a certification in Japanese Language Proficiency Test - Level 1.
