Evelyn Cruz

Evelyn Cruz has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Evelyn started their career at JPMorganchase as an Analyst/Generalist, where they provided strategic consultation and support in areas like staff assessments, performance management, and employee development. Evelyn worked there for 17 years before moving on to AMERICAN MEDICAL ALERT CORP as an HR Director, responsible for various HR functions including staffing, employee relations, benefits administration, and policy origination. Evelyn then joined Newsday as a Sr HR Generalist, where they implemented HR policy changes, managed onboarding processes, and worked on key HR initiatives with the COO/Publisher and HR Manager. Following that, Evelyn worked as an HR Director at Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley, overseeing compliance with laws and regulations, implementing recruiting strategies, and developing reward and recognition plans. Evelyn also gained international experience as an HR Manager at Apercu Global, supporting executives and staff on global strategic initiatives. Evelyn further expanded their HR expertise at World Business Lenders, LLC, where they served as an HR Manager and VP. In this role, they implemented policies and procedures, enhanced employee benefits, and provided generalist support to branches across the company. Most recently, they joined Amscan as an HR Manager and is currently working as a Human Resources Project Manager at enableIT.

Evelyn Cruz started their education journey in 1996 when they enrolled at Cornell University. Evelyn pursued a Business Certificate and focused on Business Administration and Management, General, completing their studies in 1998. After a few years, Evelyn decided to continue their education at Mercy College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from 2003 to 2007. Seeking further knowledge and specialization, they then enrolled at Villanova University in 2010 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Development, which is expected to be completed in 2011.
