Alfred Schweikert

Alfred Schweikert is a senior vice president of regulatory affairs at Enalare Therapeutics. Alfred has over twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on regulatory affairs.

Alfred began their career at Vero Biotech, where they served as vice president of regulatory affairs from July 2017 to August 2020. In this role, they developed and executed regulatory strategies for the development of the company’s programs, collaborating with research and development, quality, commercial, and medical affairs teams. Alfred also oversaw the creation of documentation to support IND, NDA, and Orphan Drug filings.

Alfred has extensive experience working with regulatory authorities and has conducted numerous FDA device and drug submissions, FDA Scientific advice meetings, and IND amendments and NDA supplements. Alfred is also experienced in leading preparation for and conducting meetings with regulatory agencies.

In their current role at Enalare Therapeutics, Alfred is responsible for developing and executing the regulatory strategy for the company’s programs. Alfred also manages the regulatory staff and provides guidance to internal groups and business partners based on their technical and regulatory knowledge.

Alfred is a highly knowledgeable and experienced regulatory affairs professional who has dedicated their career to ensuring that healthcare products are developed in compliance with all relevant regulations. Alfred Schweikert received their Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Biochemistry, Microbiology. Alfred completed their Masters study in Microbiology and Immunology at West Virginia University, and their Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Alfred is certified in Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society.

Alfred Schweikert reports to Herm Cukier, Executive Chairman, President & CEO. They are on a team with Daniel Motto - COO, Thomas Miller - VP of Clinical Development, and Joseph Pergolizzi - Chief Research & Development Officer, Board Member.
