Lei Shi

Associate Director, Enzyme Engineering at Encodia

Lei Shi began their work experience in 2005 as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Fellow at the University of Washington. In 2014, Lei joined the Monsanto Company as a Senior Research Scientist, where they stayed until 2017. In 2017, Lei joined Encodia, Inc. as the Protein Engineering Lead. Later, they became the Associate Director of Enzyme Engineering in November 2020.

Lei Shi holds a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, which they obtained from 2005 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Physics at the University of Science and Technology of China from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, Lei Shi has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, accomplished in 2010 to 2011. In terms of certifications, Lei Shi obtained three additional certifications: "Giving and Receiving Feedback" from LinkedIn in October 2021, "Introduction to Data Science" from Coursera in June 2013, and "Machine Learning" from Coursera in June 2013.
