Richard Jones

Richard Jones has a diverse and extensive work experience. Richard started their career as a Senior Scientific Officer at Harwell Laboratory in 1970. Richard then worked as a Chief Scientist at Computer Power from 1984 to 1994, followed by a role as VP Engineering at InText Systems from 1994 to 1997. In 1997, they became Principal at Lloyd Jones Consulting. From 2001 to 2011, they served as Chief Scientist at Distillery Software Pty Ltd. In 2009, they joined Australian National University as an Adjunct Professor in Computer Science, where they provided guest lectures, tutoring, and supervised research students. In 2010, they became Chief Scientist at Encompass Corporation.

Richard Jones obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin from 1962 to 1966. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and Computing at the same institution, which they completed from 1966 to 1970.
