Martina Smith

Martina Smith, MBA, has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 15 years. Martina currently holds the position of Director of Accounting at Encore Boston Harbor, starting in March 2022. Prior to this, Martina worked at MGM Resorts International for 12 years, where they held various roles such as Director of Accounting - Contract & Entertainment, Manager - Accounting Services, and Client Services Accounting Manager. Martina also worked as a German-English Translator on a freelance basis from 2008 to 2011. Earlier in their career, Martina gained experience as a Jr. Accountant at Atwood Distributing, L.P., Office Manager/Jr. Accountant at Elizabeth L. Beaty, P.C., and as a Front Desk Agent at The Summit. Martina also interned at the Embassy of Austria.

Martina Smith, MBA, obtained their Masters degree in Business Administration from Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. During their time at university, they also participated in an exchange program at the University of Arkansas from 2005 to 2006, where they focused on Business, Marketing, and Finance.

In addition to their formal education, Martina has received several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In October 2021, they completed the "Becoming an Impactful and Influential Leader" certification from LinkedIn. In July 2020, they completed the "Leading at a Distance" certification, also from LinkedIn. Finally, in December 2018, they obtained the "Communicating in Times of Change" certification, also from LinkedIn. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
