Michael Walter

Michael Walter has a diverse work experience history. Michael is currently serving as the Director of Special Initiatives for the Executive Office and Corporate Secretary at Encore Community Services since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at International House from October 2015 to February 2021 as the Manager of the Executive Office and Liaison to the Board. Michael also worked at Open Society Foundations as a Program Associate from August 2014 to August 2015. In addition, they have experience as an Administrative Assistant at Metro from April 2012 to October 2013 and at VLST from October 2007 to April 2009. Michael started their career as an Editorial Assistant at Key Publishing Group from June 2006 to June 2007.

Michael Walter obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Portland State University in 1999. Michael then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Writing (Nonfiction) from the same university, which they completed in 2002. In 2023, Michael obtained a certification in Facilitative Leadership® from Interaction Associates.
