Bret Eckert

Bret Eckert serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Encore Wire Corporation since September 2019, overseeing financial operations for a leading manufacturer of electrical building wire. Concurrently, Bret holds the position of Chair of the Foundation Board of Trustees at Ursuline Academy of Dallas, having previously contributed to the Finance and Audit Committee at the college preparatory school. Prior experience includes an Executive Managing Director role at Riveron, and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Atmos Energy, a major natural gas distributor in the U.S. Bret's career began at EY, where as an Assurance Partner, extensive advisory work was conducted for various financial entities, including IPOs and SEC compliance matters. Bret holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M University, earned between 1985 and 1989.
