Angelita Laymon

Angelita Laymon has 22 years of experience in the energy industry. Angelita worked at Energy Harbor as the Director of Commercial Portfolio Optimization, where they managed a team and supported the commodities organization in strategic analytics and data control. Prior to that, they worked at FirstEnergy Solutions for 20 years as the Manager of Portfolio Hedging, where they developed bid strategies and optimized margin and revenue. Angelita began their career at Tampa Electric as a Co-op/Intern, where they designed a user-friendly MS Access database and collected and analyzed load research and market research data.

Angelita Laymon obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Clemson University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Angelita later pursued an Executive MBA from Kent State University's Graduate School of Management, completing their studies from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained a certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in November 2023.
