William Thompson has a diverse work experience in the field of compensation, benefits, and HRIS. William started their career as a Corporate Internal Field Auditor at Sherwin Williams, where they provided financial and operational insights to optimize efficiencies within various divisions. William then moved on to Vitamix, where they served as the Manager of Global Compensation & HRIS Reporting, responsible for developing and implementing compensation strategies and presenting them to the executive team and board of directors. After that, William worked at Arhaus as the Director of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS, focusing on designing and implementing compensation and benefits strategies aligned with corporate goals. William later started their own consultancy firm, Thompson Total Rewards Consulting, specializing in compensation, benefits, and HRIS strategy. William then transitioned to FirstEnergy Solutions, where they worked as the Compensation & Benefits Manager during the company's emergence from bankruptcy. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Compensation and Benefits at Energy Harbor, overseeing all compensation and benefits activities for the company's large workforce.
William Thompson completed their education at Miami University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Statistics. Prior to their university studies, they attended Parma Senior High School from 1995 to 1999, pursuing a variety of subjects.
