Byron Fong

Byron Fong is currently a Software Engineer Intern at Energy311, where responsibilities include designing a pipeline for statistical analysis and testing of billing services. In addition, Byron serves as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine's Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences, focusing on building a machine learning framework to optimize large language model inference in heterogeneous edge device networks. Prior experience includes working with the UCI Student Center & Event Services as part of the Ops Crew, managing event operations and maintaining equipment. Byron is pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Computer and Information Sciences, with a concentration in Intelligent Systems, at UC Irvine, following a high school background in Computer Science from Interlake Senior High School.
