Engage is looking for an ambitious Account Executive with sports knowledge who will be responsible for supporting the link between our sports clients and our internal teams.

Supporting the Senior Account Manager, you will manage multiple client accounts, ensuring campaigns are meeting deadlines and quality expectations. You will be responsible for managing client deliverables such as graphics, videos and shoots as well as services including publishing and data analytics. 

On a day-to-day basis you will be supporting the Senior Account Manager as one of the points of contact for the clients, delegating tasks, seeking status updates from departments across the company including our Content Producers, Graphic Designers and Social Media Managers.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable speaking to clients as well as internal teams and will have a great eye for detail. With a passion for sports and social media, you know what the latest trends are and can identify what will help our clients be at the cutting edge in their sector. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the day-to-day delivery for multiple clients on a range of services and projects including graphics, videos, publishing and data analytics - all from concept to delivery

  • Working closely with and correctly briefing the Creative Development, Audience Development, Design and Content teams to ensure departments are well utilised for client deliverables

  • Develop client meeting agendas and circulate debriefs

  • Delegate tasks to relevant internal departments and seek status reports

  • Liaise with Senior Account Manager to report any issues

  • Monitor and track budget with support of the Senior Account Manager

  • Support in resource allocation to produce deliverables

  • Monitor trends in social media, online video and sports output internationally in order to devise innovative content strategies and campaigns

  • Participate in brainstorming, office activities, staff meetings, and client meetings; research and assist with program development for existing clients and new prospects

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Degree level education or above

  • 2 years experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge and passion for sports (Rugby a must!) including knowledge of how the different markets vary

  • Keen, ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, online video and sports output internationally

  • Experience working to client briefs and working with external parties to make recommendations and encourage developments

  • Client management skills and experience of working towards KPIs

  • Good listener who enjoys problem solving

  • Interest in new technologies and opportunities for content creation

  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Editorial sensibility – able to identify strong content that will perform well on digital/social platforms

  • Able to perform under pressure and to work to tight timescales

  • Be a good communicator with strong relationship management skills
