Ilenna Wen

Ilenna Wen is a current BIoT Laboratory Researcher at UBC Envision and a Researcher at Engineers for a Sustainable World. Ilenna conducted laboratory research on genetic modification of bacteria for glow-in-the-dark kombucha strains and explored Scoby utilization for food packaging solutions. Ilenna also researched magnesium oxy-chloride as an alternative for drywall. Ilenna is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering at The University of British Columbia.
