Sam de Terte

Finance Director at ENGLAND AND WALES CRICKET BOARD LIMITED

Sam de Terte has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Sam started at EY in 2011 as an Accountant and later became a Senior Accountant. In 2016, they briefly worked as an Assistant Manager at EY before joining the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). At the ECB, they served as a Project Accountant, followed by a role as Head of Finance for the Cricket World Cup 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Financial Controller, supporting the financial management of the ECB Group. Currently, they hold the position of Financial Director at the ECB, where they oversee corporate governance, compliance, financial and risk management of Cricket in England & Wales.

Sam de Terte began their education at Lindisfarne College, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. After completing their secondary education, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Economics at the University of Otago. Sam studied at the university from 2007 to 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, Sam de Terte continued to advance their education by acquiring the Chartered Accountant designation from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Sam completed this program from 2011 to 2014.
