He is a goal-oriented individual with strong attention to detail and leadership skill. His intellectual curiosity had helped him rank high in many individual and team projects at Hackathons and Kaggle competitions.

Huy is the Research Data Scientist at Enovate Upstream. He joined the company in April 2020. In this role, he is responsible for developing machine learning models and applying cutting-edge analytical techniques to solve complex problems such as formation classification and drilling optimization.

Huy is also a writer for Toward Data Science. His contents and interests are in machine learning fundamentals, convolutional neural networks, generative deep learning, numerical methods, and Bayesian statistics. Before joining Enovate, Huy worked at Texas A&M University as a Teaching Assistant for 2 years. He taught Python, calculus, and discrete mathematics for engineer students.

In 2017, Huy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston-Downtown with a B.S. degree in mathematics. He obtained a Master’s degree in mathematics at Texas A&M University in 2019. He later finished a 4-month immersive data science program at Flatiron School.
